I bought these for my husband who is a huge fan of Thorlo socks. I was a little disappointed with the socks when they arrived because the ankle part seemed a lot looser knit than I expected and I was afraid that he might have problems with them sliding down while he was walking. The foot part of the sock was the same high quality structure I've come to expect out of Thorlo. Anyway, he's worn them for a couple of weeks now and loves them just as much as the other style. They don't ride down and provide plenty of comfort and support during his long work days.

Have used Thorlo for over 15 years. When I saw these soft looking "Walking" sock I got this time from this place I asked my self will they last the 8-12 years the "Hiker" sock does. They are so soft and keep my skin dry and healthy. As why pay on sale $9 each if they do not last 5 to 10 times longer. Thorlo Hiker again. And when needed also wear with them the liner socks to reduce blisters and have healthy toes and feet. This Thorlo style needs to be treated with care to keep from causing long thread picks and damaging the elastic top of the sock.
To me they work fine for dog walks and the office and shopping and yes I hope they last the 8-12 years the rugged "Hiker" sock does with daily uses. I use engineered socks like Thorlo makes and Hiking shoes to keep my legs and feet healthy and pain free.
